Distribution Reinvestment and Optional Trust Unit Purchase Plan
Penn West Energy Trust offers a convenient method for Canadian and U.S. residents to reinvest cash distributions and, for Canadian residents, to invest additional funds into new trust units with the Distribution Reinvestment and Optional Trust Unit Purchase Plan (the "Plan").
Benefits of the Plan include:
- Existing Canadian and U.S. resident unitholders can purchase new units of the Trust each month by automatically reinvesting cash distributions at a 5% discount off the average market price1.
- Canadian resident unitholders who enroll in the Plan can also make optional cash payments each month to purchase additional units, potentially at an average market price2 to balance swings in the market price. The optional cash payments can be a minimum of $500 up to a maximum of $5,000.
- No commissions, service charges or brokerage fees are payable in conjunction with the Plan3.
If your units are held through a broker, investment dealer or other financial intermediary, you must direct that company to enrol your units into the Plan.
